Baby, baby, BABY!

Well, the time is drawing nearer and nearer until we met our little guy and I am getting more and more excited. I just thought i would give everyone a brief update on what has been going on in our life.

I am getting ready to for James (the best brother in the world) to come over and help me get things ready for this little guy. He is so helpful- he cleans and is always wanting to help and that is exactly what i need!

Everything is ready for the baby- crib, clothes, nappies (diapers) etc etc. The only thing i am struggling with is my hospital bag. Well, i shouldn't say that- it is pretty much done but i feel like i keep forgetting things! So any help on what to bring and what not to bring would be greatly appreciated!

Poor bob knows something is going on and i think is starting to clue in that it is something big. He has been cut off from the nursery and doesn't like the pram (stroller) and certainly does not like the fact that i can not walk as far or as fast as he would like! But when James comes over- bob will be in heaven because James just loves walking bob and he takes great care of him.

Doug is currently going through a mental breakdown- nothing to do with the thought of fatherhood but rather because his beloved celtics (basketball team) are battling to go to the championship and its all too much for this competitive guy (and his wife). I have to be grateful though, there are worse things he could be addicted to like football (soccer) or even curling!!! yuck!! Doug is getting very excited about his little son coming soon, but i think it will be more real for him when he actually can hold him and see him as for right now, he just feels kicks and movement and i think its hard to imagine a little baby in there!!

Anyway, I am in the process of putting up pictures of the crib etc. we are just finishing up the bedding and what not- so when that is complete- pictures will be arriving!

p.s i am sure i have the best mother in law in the world- she is making all the bedding for the crib and it is DARLING!!!!!

Wow... i suck at blogging...seriously

So...  I am seriously so bad at blogging! You wanna know just how bad i am... i forgot my user name AND password to get on this stupid blog thing... I have it written down so hopefully that won't happen again.

Things have been pretty awesome lately.

First thing first... I am done school.

Secondly... i finished the hunger trilogy

Thirdly...we are getting air conditioning

Fourthly....Only 6 weeks left until we met our little fellow!!

Seriously though, things are going exceptionally well. I have managed to make it through pregnancy without any complications or health problems (TOUCH WOOD). I have actually really enjoyed being pregnant, (minus the occasional back pain- which seems to have gone away) I have been extremely lucky and this little guy is just so fun to carry around all day. He wiggles and squirms ALL day long and i love it- although he has been having the hiccups a lot recently (pretty sure that has something to do with doug watching play-off basketball/hockey and screaming at the television!!)

To be honest, being done school is REALLY weird. My brain has completely gone into shock. So much so that i finished the 2nd and 3rd hunger games book in a week and a half. Now i am on the hunt for a new book to read!

Somehow every year i completely forget just how painfully warm our house is in the summer...its disgustingly warm!! So, we figured this year would be the year to get A/C in because i really don't fancy being home all day with a new baby baking in my living room... not a nice vision. Needless to say i am very excited!!!

We are on the count down to met our baby... I am becoming very impatient but I have been told to put those feelings to rest because when he is here it will go past WAY to fast so i am trying to just relax and get things ready for the lil dude. We have his nursery pretty much ready- just finishing up his crib bedding and a few other things...I will be sure to post some pictures when it is complete! i LOVE IT!!!!

Jamesy boy will be here in approx 4 weeks and i have never been so excited to see him! He is the best little helper in the world and he is the best company in the world! He is so easy going and just wants to help out- so i have a list of jobs waiting for him which i am sure he will be more than willing to do for me because he is so AWESOME! THEN...my parents arrive in approx 8 weeks and needless to say i am ecstatic for them to arrive and met the baby and enjoy some much needed time with them- oh how i miss them- Must admit- it is going to be hard not having mama bear here for the first little while...but that will just make me appreciate her even more when she is here. Thank goodness for Skype!

Bob is still being awesome... he is such a good dog. I think he knows something is going on because i haven't been as good at taking him on walks- don't get me wrong he goes on them but they are definitely not as long as they should be. James will be bob bests friend when he arrives because he LOVES to walk and bob loves James- perfect match!

Well... must dash.. my big fat gypsy wedding is on!!!

Brief (very brief) Update on The Mehews (2011)

So I figured since I now know how to upload pictures I would give everyone a VERY brief update on what Doug and I got up to last year and a little bit of this year... Think of it as 2011 in pictures!

They are not in order, but i think you get the idea... Ill start with Bob

2011 with Bob consisted of Dressing him up in his blackhawks jersey... He loves chicago.... 

Also Bobby boy won his championship- and we are SUPER DUPER proud of him and can't wait for his cute little puppies! 

We love bob he is so funny....esp. when he tries to sit on chairs on our deck but then he gets stuck because he is WAY too big! 

NEXT!!

My family and I went to Arizona- which was a much needed break for all of us- Doug couldn't come- it was right in the middle of harvest, but we struggled on in the heat by the pool without him...it was so hard! 

James and I got burnt.... 

We also managed to stop by the all-star games while we were there! 

Also while my family was here, we went to 'Head smashed in buffalo jump" which i highly recommend (dad even got to dance in one of the circle things- which i have on video if any one wants to see- its very funny!) 

 

NEXT!! 

We love to take trips with our friends so we did a couple this year with some of our buddies and it was TOO much fun! 

We went to Edmonton with Brant and Lindsey ... 

We hit up west ed- and went on some scary rides! And as you can see we were super excited!

Also we went to Conference in Utah which was extremely fun... I didn't take to many pictures of that because we were so busy doing so much- but this picture is of prob the best football game i have ever seen or attended in my whole life- it was SO close and BYU won and everyone ran on the field, lindsey and i got lost but all was well! 

Conference- we were super close to the front which was incredible! 

NEXT! 

Apart from these exciting things it has been other things like....

Attending Jerry Seinfeld which was HILARIOUS!!!!! 

 

And also a Flames game thrown in there.... 

Well thats pretty  much our life in 2011- apart from the usual stuff like...

Mallori continuing to bet me in Bowling- i was so close.... 

Doug figuring out that hands aren't the best way to make cookies- thats why we have spoons (oh, i love this guy!) 

And me...making way to much cupcakes and cookies.... they are SO good!!!! 

And also...me writing way to many papers.... I will be so glad to be done in APRIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

This is NOT an exaggeration - SIX PAPERS IN ONE WEEK!!!!!! AHHH!!!

Bob is still the cutest Dog in the world.... 

And lastly, we are getting ready to meet the Cutest baby BOY in the world! We can not wait to met our little baby boy- and when we got to see him in the ultrasound we got even more excited than we already were- if that were even possible! So bring on July!!!!!!!! I have a feeling 2012 is going to be GREAT! 

So...here it goes again...

Howdy! 


This whole blog thing is really annoying... I don't know how to work all the gadgets and things- needless to say- it will remain looking plain and boring until someone helps me organize this gong show!


So... I did delete my blog forever ago because Doug and I had absolutely nothing to blog about...apart from Bobby, but no one seemed as interested in him that I am... 


Anyways- I will try and not blog about Bob too much this time round but i do have something else to blog about now (hence why i started the blog again)


Doug and I are having our 1st baby...!!!! Yay!!!


We couldn't be happier...no seriously- we are so excited- we are also very VERY scared ( i think that is just me) Scared at the idea that I am going to be responsible for a little human bean!! Oh man...


Anyway...details, details....


I am due 4th of July (independence day!!) We (hopefully) find out what we are having this thursday, which is so exciting!


And for the record- i really don't mind what i am blessed with- be it girl or boy- as long as they are healthy! 


So, yeh... Thats our big news!!


I am hoping this will keep Grandma Bevy happy and my family back home happy so they can try and keep up to date with what is going on. I will try my hardest and get pictures etc on here (not of bob- well maybe a few), but I seriously need help...  I have been blessed with PB throughout this pregnancy (Pregnancy Brain) so my brain is literally mush..literally. 


Anyway- i will hop on here Thursday and reveal the gender!!
